Welcome to
the NIDCAP Federation International’s Website

The NIDCAP Federation International, NFI, sponsors these pages to promote the Newborn Individualized Developmental Care and Assessment Program (NIDCAP) in hospitals. The site encourages the use of NIDCAP internationally for supporting the growth and development of premature babies. The site also serves NFI members, and informs the general public of the federation's work and mission.

Formed in 2001, the NFI is a private non-profit organization committed to providing the highest quality of education and training for families and health providers who care for infants in newborn intensive care nurseries.

Families and individuals looking for more details about the care of premature infants and the NIDCAP program should call the training center nearest them. Locations, contact names, and telephone numbers are available in the Program Guide (a downloadable .pdf file revised March 2008) and the NIDCAP Training Centers page on this site.
